A voice-controlled teleprompter that follows your speech

With voice follow, you don't set a speed at all. The text moves while you talk, waits when you stop, and comes back if you repeat a sentence.

How voice follow works

When you press Play in Voice mode, the browser's built-in speech recognition turns what you say into words. Zett Prompter compares those words with your script, finds where you are, and scrolls so the current line stays on the reading line. Between recognition results it keeps moving at your own pace, so the motion stays smooth instead of jumping line by line.

Browsers and languages

Voice follow works in Chrome, Edge and Safari, in English and Romanian. Firefox has no built-in speech recognition. The Zett Prompter app for Mac uses Apple's recognition, which runs on the Mac itself for supported languages.

Tips for better recognition

Privacy and cost

Voice follow is free, with no limits and no account. In Chrome and Edge, audio is processed by Google's or Microsoft's speech service, the same one used for dictation in those browsers. In Safari it is handled by Apple. Your script itself never leaves your device.

When a fixed speed is better

For ads with a strict length, use Duration: the script finishes exactly on time. For long monologues where you pause often, voice follow is usually the most comfortable.

Open the prompter, choose Voice under Playback and press Play.
